Welcome to ily. We're glad you're here. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of ily ("ily," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of the ily Discord bot, this website, and any related services (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding ily to a Discord server, using any of its commands or features, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you are using ily on behalf of a server, you represent that you have authority to bind that server and its members to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not add or use the bot, and remove it from any server you control.

2. Eligibility & Age

You may only use the Service if you meet Discord's minimum age requirement — at least 13 years old, or older where required by the laws of your country or region (for example, 16 in parts of the European Economic Area). You must also comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If you do not meet these requirements, you may not use the Service.

3. Description of Service

ily is an all-in-one Discord bot offering features such as moderation, automod, anti-nuke, economy and games, leveling, invite tracking, Last.fm and Spotify integrations, music, giveaways, welcome messages, vanity roles, tickets, image tools, search, and 400+ commands in total (default prefix ","). The core of the Service is free to use. Optional premium features may be unlocked as described below. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time without notice.

4. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

When using the Service, you agree that you will not:

Use ily to violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or any applicable law.
Use the Service to harass, abuse, threaten, defame, or harm others, or to distribute illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content.
Exploit, abuse, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the bot, its infrastructure, or its rate limits, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
Use the Service to send spam, run automated abuse, mass-DM, raid, or otherwise disrupt Discord or other users.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or premium codes without our written permission.
Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or that misrepresents your affiliation with ily.

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing the bot and denying access to the Service.

5. Premium & Payments

ily offers optional premium features as a permanent, one-time unlock per server or user. Premium is activated by redeeming a code (for example, with the ,redeem command), typically obtained through a voluntary contribution via Ko-fi. Premium is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.

Contributions are voluntary and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law. We may suspend or revoke premium status and codes that are obtained fraudulently, through chargeback, or in violation of these Terms. We are not responsible for the payment processing, fees, or policies of Ko-fi or any third-party payment provider.

6. User Content & Responsibility

You are solely responsible for any content, configuration, settings, and data you create, upload, or store using the Service (for example, tags, autoresponders, welcome messages, embeds, and economy or moderation settings). Server administrators and moderators are responsible for how the Service is configured and used within their servers, including ensuring their use complies with these Terms and with applicable law. We do not endorse and are not responsible for user-generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

The ily name, branding, logo, website, and the underlying software and design are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the bot for its intended purpose within Discord. No other rights are granted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service operates on Discord and may interact with third-party services to provide certain features — including Discord, the Last.fm API (when you link an account), Ko-fi (for premium contributions), and external APIs used by some commands (for example, OCR, weather, dictionary, translation, and search providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their content.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant any particular level of uptime, availability, or that the Service will be secure or free of bugs, data loss, or interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ily and its operator from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

12. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service — including removing the bot from, or denying service to, any server or user — at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, including for any violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be announced in our support server. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the state and federal courts located in New York will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
